A Time to Remember

I got up before sunrise this morning feeling like I needed to get out and shoot. As the sun was coming up I could see that the overnight winds had brought in smoke from a neighbouring fire. I knew that it was opportune time to shoot with the early morning sun and smokey haze. Wahoo a mini road trip! I did not know what it was that I was going to shoot but ventured out to see what I could find. Driving around the countryside, just outside of my home town where I grew up, I remembered their being a cemetery on the knoll of a hill that faced east. I also remembered that today was one that family and friends of Richard Fowler were celebrating his life later this morning. He was our former Mayor and local MLA. I had met him several times and even photographed him once so I thought that the cemetery was fitting for this mornings “mini-roadtrip”. Today, take time to remember …..
