2011 California Roadtrip

For the last two summers I have embarked on a photo road trip. It is self-assigned and wide open for category and content. This summer i decided to take advantage of our trip to Palm Springs, California and shoot some of the local content. The Palm Springs valley is a mecca for wind energy with hundreds of wind machines that generate electricity for the California grid. I also had a chance to scoot down to Santa Monica and capture some early morning dawn images of Ball Nogues  sculpture “the Cradle” for them. This sculpture is an interesting visual interpretation anchored to the side of a parkade  designed by the famed architect Gehry.

On my way home I had a chance to travel to San Francisco to partake in a PhaseOne CaptureOne digital tech certification course. Once I had passed the course I met with a new client, Forma Development Design Management LLC. They specialize in designing, developing and constructing high end condos. Their new development, 829 Folsom is no exception. They were looking for some exterior captures that illustrated the character and neighbouring personality of the new condo complex.
